Ashley says:

It has taken over 35 years but now, after denying what The Greens have been saying, regarding the environment and the threat that our civilisation has been posing for our planet, all of the so called 'major parties' are now jumping on our bandwagon and profess to be addressing the onset of Climate Change.

Nevertheless, at best, we can only hope that Brown, Cameron and Clegg do really understand our plight and are stealing our clothes in order to get the message across that we all now must address this most important of issues. However, at worse, they are targeting the Green vote in order to give themselves the extra percentage points that they need to win forthcoming elections.

If it is the former then, at last, we may be headed in the right direction. Unfortunately I fear that it is the latter and, given the continued economic growth policies that the Government and the opposition parties at Westminster continually espouse, we are being taken in exactly the wrong direction; in which case we shall be in even greater rouble than we are now.

In view of this, Greens will continue to promote the necessary policies - especially with regard to planning, transport, education and crime etc. - that will secure our long-term future.

Therefore, having promoted Green policies for 18 years now, until things drastically change for the better, I shall continue to stand for The Party at all possible elections; the forthcoming General Election being no exception.

So I would ask you to join us to ensure that the greatest threat that our civilisation has yet had to face is kept at the top of the political agenda. In other words do not waste your vote any longer.

Vote Green for a better future.
